The price

From $160 per linear foot

$160/lin. ft

Starting price for a complete installation: excavation, foundation waterproofing, perforated pipe with geotextile, drainage stone, connection, backfill and yard restoration. 25-year transferable warranty.

The price is calculated per linear foot of foundation to redo: the whole perimeter or only the affected sides. $160 is a starting price, for a simple job with easy access.

The final cost can be considerably higher depending on foundation depth, site access, landscaping to move and any added work. Only a site visit gives an exact price, and it is free.

What changes the price

6 factors that change your quote

Length to redo

The whole perimeter or only the damaged sections. A camera inspection shows where the problem is.

Foundation depth

The deeper the footing, the more soil to dig out and backfill.

Site access

A narrow driveway, a hedge, a patio or a pool make machinery access harder.

Landscaping to move

Pavers, stairs, decks and flower beds to remove and put back.

Combined work

While the foundation is exposed, adding a membrane or repairing cracks costs less than coming back later.

Connection

Connection to the municipal system or to a sump pit, depending on your house.

Before you pay

Do you really need a new drain?

Not always. A clogged drain can sometimes be cleaned, and a single crack is repaired by injection with no excavation. That is why we recommend a camera inspection before any replacement: you see the real condition of the drain and you keep the video report.

Replacement is needed when the drain is clay, collapsed, fractured or clogged by iron ochre beyond cleaning.
