Privacy policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Fissure et Drain XT (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on fissuredrainxt.com, why we collect it, who it may be shared with and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), as amended by Law 25.

Information we collect

When you request a quote through our form, we collect:

  • your first and last name, phone number and email address;
  • the address of the work;
  • the services you are interested in and a description of your problem;
  • any photos or PDF documents you choose to attach;
  • the date and time of the request and the IP address of the device used (to prevent abuse and automated submissions).

When you contact us by phone or email, we keep the information you give us (name, contact details, project details).

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical data in its server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of the visit. This data is used only to keep the site running and secure.

How we use your information

  • to answer your request and call you back;
  • to schedule the visit, assess the work and prepare your quote;
  • to carry out the work, follow up and honour our warranties;
  • to protect the site against spam and abuse.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We only use your information for the purposes above or with your consent.

Consent

By sending us the form or contacting us, you consent to our use of your information for the purposes described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us (see “Contact us”), subject to our legal or contractual obligations.

Cookies and tracking tools

Our site uses no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools (such as Google Analytics). To display fonts, your browser downloads files from Google Fonts servers, which sends your IP address to Google. Our hosting provider, GoDaddy, also automatically adds a small script that measures how fast pages load, to improve the performance of its servers. If we ever add measurement or advertising tools, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Sharing with third parties

Your information may be processed by the providers that help us run our business, only as far as necessary:

  • GoDaddy: website hosting, server logs and page performance monitoring;
  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365): our email, where requests sent through the form arrive;
  • Google (Google Fonts): displaying fonts.

These providers act on our behalf and are required to protect your information. We may also disclose information when the law requires it (for example, at the request of a competent authority).

Information stored outside Quebec

Some of these providers may store information on servers located outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada or in the United States. Before any such transfer, we assess whether the information will be adequately protected, as the law requires.

Retention

We keep your information as long as needed to answer your request, carry out the work and honour our warranties, or longer if the law requires it (for example, for our tax records). After that, we securely destroy or anonymize it.

Security

The whole site is protected by an SSL certificate (HTTPS). Access to the requests we receive is limited to the people who need it to do their job, and our accounts are password-protected. Since no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, as required by law.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • ask to see the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
  • withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal obligations;
  • ask for your information to be sent to you, or to another organization, in a structured, commonly used technological format;
  • ask for information to be de-indexed when its dissemination breaks the law or a court order.

We answer requests in writing within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Contact us

The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the owner of the business. For any question, request or complaint:

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d’accès à l’information.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date.
